Reflection of constructivist way of teaching and learning

Constructivist classroom consists of student-centered and actively involves learners, democratic learning environment which teacher and students share the control of the classroom and teacher as the facilitator the responsible to creates motivation among the learners.

Therefore, students works for their own knowledge, no more become a passively recipient learners. They are the creators and builders of the meaningful knowledge.

There's no doubt that constructive based teaching and learning is one of the effective teaching strategies to be implemented in the classroom. We must bear in mind that our students are not the empty vessel as they're actually bring along their prior knowledges, experiences and ideas to school. As a teacher we must listen to their ideas by not rejecting their ideas/thoughts/answers in the first place...let's be a democratic instructor instead of an autocratic type. Our roles as a teacher is constructing students knowledges/ideas by correcting student's misconception through exploration of process skills.
